Does Version Control System Important for Developers?
Why Version Control System Exist?
Imagine, You wrote thousand of lines code. And publish app or website. After sometime you think to add some more feature in existing code. You add some more code and delete some lines too.
instead of working with new future, your whole website crash.

For these problems VCS comes to picture.
Here, I will going to introduce VCS and there types, not history and how to use it. For how to use it. And internals you can check my other blogs on my profile.
What is Version Control System ?
VCS is the system that help developer to track changes in there code.
And also help people to collaborate with team. While collaborating with team you can also check how many changes were made in code and who made.
Types of Version Control systems
1. Local Verion Control system (LVCS)
When we store changes and record locally on our single machine without internet.
2. Centralized Version Control Systems (CVCS)
Centralized VCS use a single central server to store all files and version history. Most of the time use in companies those don't want to push there code on other platforms.
3. Distributed Version Control Systems (DVCS)
Distributed VCS is most comman VCS. It gives developer full copy of repository. including there commits history.
If you are beginner. Don't watch to much video on VCS like:
